Our broodmares
Trefddyn stud:
Founded in 2006 with theTrefddyn prefix.
Our first coloured Welsh part bred foal was registered in 2007
Trefddyn Splash out of our Section C mare Gurnos Welsh Rosa.
(Rosie is now next door at Penlasgarn stud)
In 2008 Trefddyn Cracker Jack was born a coloured WPBR cob by the
RWS traditional champion Whitson Redcarr x Gurnos Welsh Rosa.
He has gone on to do great things with his new owners
and is currently excelling at Dressage and SJ.
This same stallion had covered another of our broodmares Caederwen Sionned
who produced a beautiful WPBR bay colt Trefddyn Minstrel who was sold to Kent.
We also purchased a few more broodmares mainly for
their good breeding, temperament & good confirmation
We were never tempted to over increase our mares here at Trefddyn as all our young stock receive the utmost of care, handling, and 1 to 1 attention resulting in friendly well handled confident youngsters that are ready for any new experiences, and therefore highly sought after.
We have Flo Jo - Greenvale Flo Jo a 16hh WPBR/Sports mare by Zhivago
Beauty - A stunning 15.2hh pintaloosa mare
Retained for future breeding
Eleri -Home bred sec D mare out of Llanweneth Rhian by Gwynfaes Cullwch.
Delyth - home bred Sec D Filly again out of Rhian by Abercippyn Victors Last.
The waiting for our foals is always great fun it really is a special time for us
and we are now able to offer these youngsters for sale for others to enjoy in the future.
